Attorney Sugarman practices exclusively in the areas of estate and tax planning, elder law and Medicaid eligibility, estate and trust administration, wealth transfer and preservation, and beneficiary protection. Jill helps individuals and families develop and maintain an estate and/or long term care plan that offers maximum asset protection while following specific wishes with regard to the ultimate distribution of one’s property.
Jill understands the challenges of starting and maintaining an effective estate plan. After practicing in the field of elder law, Attorney Sugarman gained invaluable experience running the Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, a funeral home in Providence, RI, where she witnessed firsthand the lasting effects of family planning. Her compassion while working with families at the most difficult times has enhanced her ability to listen closely to client needs and develop a concrete legal plan that promotes family harmony.
Jill works closely with her clients to identify and plan for every contingency – both expected and unforeseen. By helping her clients plan for an unexpected life event, she makes sure that there is a legal mechanism in place to manage finances, address liabilities, plan for long-term care needs, and make sure health care wishes are carried out.
Jill’s unique combination of client empathy and legal expertise allows her to create plans that balance individual client needs with the most favorable legal strategies.
