Personal Bio
Attorney Handwerger’s interest in this field of law stems from the time she spent with her grandmother, who was disabled at a young age due to complications from multiple sclerosis and lived with her family until after Attorney Handwerger finished college. As she watched her grandmother struggle with her disability and the challenges of growing older, she realized that she was interested in learning ways in which she could assist the older population. Throughout law school and in her positions afterwards, Attorney Handwerger has dedicated her practice to areas of the law that reach and affect the older population and their families, such as estate planning, Medicaid and special needs planning. She is dedicated to assisting not only seniors, but their families as they navigate the complicated and often frustrating aging process. Please do not hesitate to call with any questions or concerns you may have about yourself a loved one. We are here to help!
Attorney Handwerger was raised in Stowe, Vermont and currently resides in Smithfield, Rhode Island, with her husband Eric and their beautiful little girls, Ella and Lillian. When she has time, she enjoys cooking, walking/running, swimming in Slack’s Pond Reservoir and spending time with her friends and family here in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Vermont.
